We were happy to welcome back Brookside Community Church to The Big Give this year. They held a garage giveaway including household items, plants and a free pancake breakfast!

OCBC organized free giveaways, plants, children’s activities, Christian books and balloon art (twisted balloons into animals). Free refreshments. Check out their pictures.

Faith Chapel has put together a beautiful video of their Big Give Event on June 3rd, 2023. They had a free garage sale clothing items, shoes, utensils, toys, furniture etc., BBQ-chicken, hotdogs, burgers, etc, Free kids’ fun zone-face painting, bouncy castle, games etc.

Once again, Bibleway Ministries participated in The Big Give offering a free yard sale and car maintenance workshop (how to check the basics on your vehicle).

Sequoia Community Church has participated in The Big Give for several years and loves sharing this free giveaway event with their community. They had a free garage sale, free continental breakfast and free services (bike tuneup, activities for kids, hand & foot massages, etc).

2 Churches participated in Pembroke this year. They hosted a free yard sale, free baked goods breakfast, free BBQ lunch and a free car wash.
Arnprior, ON
4 Churches in Arnprior participated this year offering a free giveaway, BBQ, free ice cream giveaway and a free morning coffee break. It was a great day in Arnprior!
Cobden, ON
In Cobden, the 5 churches booked the hockey arena, which was provided free of charge, They made a map that was handed to people as they came in to help them navigate the rink to find things that they would be interested in. Over 2000 people attended their event on June 3rd.

We served over 500 hotdogs, 240 cups of coffee, 16 dozen donuts and muffins, plus over 500 beverage bottles (peach juice, OJ, AJ, Water).

We prepared for 200 and served in the area of 225 to 240.

At Gateway Church we doubled our crowd from last year. We gave away approximately 478 hotdogs and 150 loot bags and balloons

St. Andrew’s Christian Church, joined by New Beginning Church, in Rockland hosted The Big Give for the first this year.

In the small town of Cobden, ON, population 1000, The Big Give attracted 1500 people who came to the arena where 5 churches host their event together.

One of the special moments for First Baptist Church in Brockville was when a elderly couple arrived at our Big Give and headed straight for the piano.

The response was excellent from our church family with many volunteers participating over both days and the congregation bringing enough food to fill hundreds of boxes.

The Big Give Team of Glad Tidings Church in Perth,Ont. encouraged our congregation to support a couple of initiatives to demonstrate the radical generosity to our community thru acts of kindness.

We prepared “Blessing Bags” containing different items for clients of our local food bank.

This year, we did a socially distanced Donation Caravan around the community with fun cars, costumes and entertainment.

As a local church (22 Eccles Street) within the Somerset West community, we had been praying about how to bless those in our midst with the love of Christ, especially during this trying time.

We were very excited to prepare and deliver some things: cookies, tarts, Tim Hortons coffee and breakfast sandwiches and we also included a few Scripture tracts.

Today’s event was another rousing success. The weather was beautiful. Lots of warmth and bright sunny skies.

With things opening up in step-one of the Provincial Plan, we were able to do our Big Give mid-June, so members of First Presbyterian Church shopped for, filled and donated 25 Blessing Bags to the Brockville and Area Food Bank.

The Chapel Ridge Big Give was well received. We handed out 467 $5 Tim Horton’s gift cards plus personalized handwritten notes.

Greenbelt hosted a drive-thru drop off event with items for a local food bank as well as two crisis parenting organizations.

River Stone’s Big Give event went off perfectly. They even had a visit from their town Mayor, Mr. Walter Stack.

Cornwall’s First Baptist Church was the place to be on Saturday if you were in need of an extra shirt or a few cups.
